RDFL ROUND 7 DARLEY RESULTS

Under 10A

Gisborne 5.1.31 defeated Darley 4.5.29

Goalkickers:                 Ryan Yamin, Nathan Barnes, Tom Rogers, Jaden Leslie all one each

Awards:                        Tom Lowe, Ryan Barnes, Liam Douglas, Kallin Trotman, Tom Rogers, James Simpson, Dylan Prindable, Casper Soley Howlett, Terrence Curwen-King, Nathan Barnes.

Started really well, was very pleasing to see that what we practiced at training came out on the footy

ground.  Unfortunately footy is a four quarter effort – we played only three, but we fought hard and nearly

got the cookies.  Great team effort.  Go Devils.                                                  Shane, Marika & Greg

Darley 4.7.31 drew Melton 5.1.31

Goalkickers:                 Lachlan Ratkowski, Jarrod Johns, Matthew Young, Jake Crampton all one each

Awards:                        Brant Lopes, Brock Taylor, Kieran Horan, Christopher Warrick, Marley Edwards, Jack Bewley, Baidon Leonard, Chris Lopes, Brett Lopes, Peter Tsalacopoulous.

Excellent game.  Both teams put on a great display of desperate attacking footy.  I am a little disappointed to have

a draw when the last kick of the game ties the scores after leading all game.  Very good performance,

Gisborne 13.14.92 defeated Darley 1.1.7

Goalkickers:                 Bryce Ferry

 Awards:                        Billy Myers, Tim Lewis

Need to play as a team with attack on the ball.  Must be discipline at training and on game day.  Come and be

ready to play.  We are much better than the way we played today.                                   Brent & Wendy

 Under 12C

Darley 4.5.29 defeated Gisborne 0.9.9

Awards:                        Tom Evans, Liam Cahill, Noah Baker, Nathan Dodemaide, Mark Engstrom, Nathan Stewart, Jaye Fernandez, Stuart Hopper, Tyler Munro.

Another great win.  Good team effort.  Good to see improvement in all boys skills.  Hard work at training pays off.

Go Devils.                                                                                                                                Rick & Fiona

 Under 14A

Darley 8.8.56 defeated Gisborne 7.8.50

Goalkickers:                 Josh Sullivan 4, Jacob Forrest 2, Harley Inglis 1, Ben Swann 1

Awards:                        Jacob Yamin, Connor Hatfield, Jacob Forrest, Shaun Gilbert

Great team effort to hold off a fast finishing Gisborne, with a lot of injuries.  To the boys credit they stuck

to the jobs they were given and we came home with another win to the devils.                  Ross & Tony

Under 14C

Gisborne 18.8.116 defeated Darley 3.0.18

Goalkickers:                 Callum Evans, Jordan McMillan, Josh Groves all one each

Awards:                        Rhys Rizzi, Brett Ellis, Daniel Robinson, Marcus Simpson, Hugh Burns, Zacchary Ratkowski, Jai Cox, Brad Humphries.

Much better last half boys.  We can compete with the other sides.  We only have to believe in ourselves.  Lets get

back on the track this week and work hard for next weekend.  Well done boys.                             Allan & Wendy

Under 16A

Gisborne 14.9.93 defeated Darley 9.10.64

Awards:                        Jacob Longden, Daniel Eyckens, Ashley Mayfosh, Coby Brigham, Harley Borg, Talon Sexton.

Big improvement – let yourselves down for only a few minutes in the second quarter.  Playing like a team – good to

see everyone pulling together.                                                                                                   Ziggy & Jackie

 Under 16C

Goalkickers:     Bradley Barnes 2, Hayden Jamieson 1, Peter Law 1, Matthew Robinson 1, Matt Jones 1

Awards:            Mayfosh, Blake Luscott, Kingy, Shaun Pawcynszki, Lachlan Cassar Kendall, Nardo.

“The one that got away”.  Four quarters of football is needed to win a game of football.  The second half

of football was good, 17 men in the third quarter showed our true fight.  Game them too much of a start

at half time.                                                                                                                               Ali & Sandy
